At present, JOSCO has a total capital of RMB 5.5 hundred million and owns a fleet of 13 self-owned vessels at the average age of under 13 years and total deadweight 180,000 metric ton, including container vessel, general cargo vessel and bulk carrier, with its shipping business and service covering over 100 countries and regions all over the world. JOSCO has set up its irregular liner service from Chinese ports to Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and other global lines as well. JOSCO always pays special attention to safety and quality management. In 1977, the company was granted DOC Certificate issued by China MSA, and in 2000 passed smoothly the inspection and the renew of the Certificate. At present, all the vessels have obtained SMC Certificate. In 2000, JOSCO was selected by the Ministry of Communication as an advanced company in the work of eliminating the vessel detention, and was also selected many times by the Department of Communication of Jiangsu Province as an excellent company in the safety management. JOSCO persists in the personnel as first thing first and has trained and prepared a number of excellent ocean shipping talents. JOSCO possesses a total of 850 professional, highly-qualified and efficient crew members who mostly graduated from marine institutes or other marine universities, well experienced in global lines of all kinds of vessels
